Mr. Heil joined Domain in February 2008. Present board observer positions include Afferent Pharmaceuticals, BioVascular and TargetRx. Mr. Heil also served as Director of Business Development for Corthera, a Domain portfolio company, which was acquired by Novartis in December 2009. At Domain, Mr. Heil assists with the review of new investment opportunities and helps current portfolio companies with financing strategies and business development processes. Prior to joining Domain, he worked at Bear Stearns & Co. as a member of the managed care equity research team. From 2005 through 2006, he was a consultant with Easton Associates (formerly The Wilkerson Group), a management consultancy dedicated to the medical industry. While with Easton Associates, Mr. Heil served clients by assessing market opportunities of pipeline projects, screening M&A targets, developing product launch strategies and other business development activities. He earned a bachelor’s degree in systems engineering with a focus in healthcare management from the University of Pennsylvania and was a member of the men’s varsity basketball team.
